More and more people are troubled with being overweight problem nowadays. This is due to the very unhealthy ways of eating and the busy life style we are having now. Stress and bad food like fast food and high cholesterol food is damaging our health.

This obesity problem is even worse in the advanced countries, especially for Americans. The statistics show that many Americans are at high risk of getting high blood pressure, high cholesterol level, heart disease and strokes. Luckily, we have found this now and we can act to prevent this problem from becoming an epidemic before it is too late.

There are many ways to lower your cholesterol level quickly. The most important way is to lead a healthy lifestyle. Its important to exercise regularly and eat more vegetables and fruits to get your fiber. Always remain happy and apply good stress management to reduce stress. All of these methods can easily help you reduce your high cholesterol easily and helps to rebuild your immune system, too.

When we think of dieting, we always assume that we have to say goodbye to those juicier, more tasty foods completely. This is wrong. We can still eat unhealthy food a little bit … but mostly eat the healthier food.

Eating foods that are high in fiber and low in saturated fats can not only provide the necessary vitamins that your body needs but also helps to get rid of bad cholesterol. A few healthy examples such as artichokes, corn, fish, garlic, legumes, mushrooms, nuts, olive oil, soy milk and whole grains are all very good in lowering your cholesterol level. In addition , all these vegetables and fruits can be easily found in the supermarket nowadays.

Other than changing your eating habits, those who have been smoking should consider reducing the smoking frequency slowly and then stop smoking altogether. If you are drinking too much liquor this may damage your liver. This will also certainly increase your cholesterol level.

Medication is the last resort to control your cholesterol level if the cholesterol level has already risen to a dangerous level. However, I still suggest if its not necessary, do not go for medication. Try to reduce your cholesterol level naturally with a healthy life style and healthy diet plan.
